Delhi Food Carnival presents Hardy Sandhu & Nizami Bandhu Live
Delhi Food Carnival is a super exciting fiesta created to give food lovers something worth remembering for a long time. From the best of Old Delhi dishes to new flavourful cuisines. All this amidst exciting live performances, a shopping arcade, fun competitions, boxing exhibition match, live chef masterclass, art installations and lots of additional surprises and prizes, competitions to be won!!!
Hardy Sandhu is a name that has found home in every heart. Born and brought up in the lands of Punjab, Hardy spent his youth representing Punjab as a cricketer. He dedicated over a decade of his life to cricket. Initially, Sandhu had never imagined becoming a singer. His determination and winning streak always provided him with an edge in his field. But as fate had planned it, his athletic career came to a halt with an injury. Soon after, Hardy found his true calling. The sounds of his native folk songs paved the way to a new beginning in his life. Hardy entered the music industry in 2012 with “Tequilla Shot”, followed by songs like “Kudi Tu Pataka”, “Pehli Goli”, “Aashiqui Te Loan”. His final breakthrough came in the year 2014 for the song “Soch”. The song was awarded the PTC Punjabi Music Award for The Most Romantic Ballad of the year and the Best Music Video of the year. He has ever since been climbing up the ladder with songs such as “Joker”, “Naa Ji Naa”, “Hornn Blow” and “Backbone”.
They have a history which is rich, lustrous and royal in terms of art as this group is 7 centuries old. They took up qawwali 700 years back and generation after generation they been profoundly taking up this legacy to newer world and heights. They belong to a legendary and glorious “Sikandra Gharana” which is been known to have produced some magnificent and stand out singers. A band specifically a qawwali group which is comprised of Ustad Chand Nizami son of late Ustad Mehmood Nizami, Shadab Faridi Nizami and Shorabh Faridi Nizami both are the son of late Ustad Ghulam Farid Nizami. They together form a trio qawwali group which is called Nizami Bandhu.
